Privacy policy

A quote needs four things: your name, the number of guests, the dates you want and a way to reach you. That is a WhatsApp number or an email address. Those four are all we ask for before a quote.

A booking needs more. Once you confirm, we ask for each guest's full name as written in the passport or ID, because the harbor manifest and the park ticket are built from it. Passport scans are asked for only at the final confirmation, when the harbor clearance needs them.

Beyond that, we keep the messages you send us, the quotes we send back and the payment records for your booking. Nothing is asked for unless it is used.

We use your details to answer your question, write the quote, take the booking, pass the guest list to the boat and the harbor, and handle payment and refunds. We do not sell your data and we do not rent it.

Messages on WhatsApp are carried by WhatsApp's own service, which belongs to Meta and stores the conversation under its own terms. Deleting a conversation from our side does not remove your copy on your phone or Meta's copy.

Analytics and advertising measurement run only if you agree in the privacy banner. Declining changes nothing about your booking, your service or your price.

Financial and tax records stay for the period Indonesian law requires. Where your data sits inside such a record, we keep the minimum and remove the rest.

Your data stays with the team at PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia unless a step of your trip needs someone else.

• The boat's captain and crew receive the guest list, dietary needs and the cabin plan for your trip.
• The harbor authority and the park receive the names and ID details that the manifest and the tickets require.
• Payment providers handle the card or account details for the method you choose, under their own policies.
• WhatsApp and email providers carry the messages we exchange.

Nobody else gets your details from us. We do not publish guest names, photos or messages without your written consent, and the reviews on this site carry a first name only.

You can ask us to delete the data we hold about you at any time. Write to info@komodoexplorer.com with the subject line "Data deletion request", from the email address or about the phone number tied to your booking. You can also send the request on WhatsApp.

Give us enough to find your record: your full name and the phone number, email or booking reference you used. We ask you to verify who you are, so that nobody else can delete your data.

We confirm receipt within a few business days and finish within 30 days of verification. If part of the data cannot go, such as a payment record we must keep by law, we tell you which part and why.

What goes: your contact details, your conversation history in our systems, your marketing consent records and the notes on your profile.
