A small-team outing on a whole boat

Updated 27 October 2026

A small team offsite on a Komodo private boat is a budget group outing, not a conference: 12 colleagues on Nusantara Karya split IDR 48,000,000 (≈ USD 2,945) for 3 days and 2 nights, which is IDR 4,000,000 (≈ USD 245) each. Every cabin has its own bathroom, and the boat stops at 14 guests.

A team of 12 to 14 on one boat

This page is for the team that wants to spend a few days together on the water and split a bill. It is a budget outing for 12 to 14 people and not a conference.

Head count settles the boat. Nusantara Karya has 5 cabins and Arham Jaya 2 has 6, each with its own bathroom, and both stop at 14 guests. A team of 15 or more needs two boats.

Money comes next: who pays. Some companies cover the boat and let staff pay their park tickets. Others split everything. Settle that before you ask for the quote, because it changes who signs.

One team lead is the booking name. That person talks to us and passes on the numbers.

Invoices and payment for a company

A company pays from a written quote. Send us the company name and the head count, and we put the whole-boat price, the deposit of 50% and the balance date in writing. The booking is made through PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia, NIB 1805260128363.

The balance is due 30 days before departure. Payment is by bank transfer in rupiah, and the booking page lists the other methods.

We give no tax advice. How the outing is booked in your accounts is for your accountant, and the quote gives them the facts they need.

Guide and photo or video documentation are outside a private charter. A team that wants either asks us, and we quote it separately. Park tickets and ranger fees are extra too.

Time off: 2D1N or 3D2N

Two days is the lighter ask on a team's leave. The 2D1N route runs Kelor, Manjarite and Kalong on day one, then Padar, Pink Beach and Komodo on day two. At 12 guests it costs IDR 3,330,000 (≈ USD 204) each on Nusantara Karya and IDR 3,250,000 (≈ USD 199) on Arham Jaya 2.

Three days adds Taka Makassar, Manta Point and a swim at Sebayur. It costs IDR 4,000,000 (≈ USD 245) each on Nusantara Karya and IDR 3,710,000 (≈ USD 228) on Arham Jaya 2.

A Friday start with a Sunday drop-off costs a team one working day, if the boat is free that weekend. On Nusantara Karya the 3D2N drop-off is at 12:00 on the last day.

Arrive in Labuan Bajo the day before sailing. A delayed flight otherwise takes the first stop from a team that cannot spare it.

Karaoke, sundeck and a quiet corner

These boats are built for leisure, and the spaces say so. Nusantara Karya has a dining area, a karaoke area with a TV, speakers and a lounge sofa, and a sundeck and chill area. Arham Jaya 2 has a dining area and a sundeck with a covered lounge. Segara Liveaboard has an indoor dining room and an upper deck.

There is no meeting room on the boats, so a team that wants a talk sits at the dining table or on the sundeck.

For a connection, Nusantara Karya has Starlink Wi-Fi and Arham Jaya 2 has local Wi-Fi, not satellite. Download the slides in town.

For a quiet corner, try the sundeck in the afternoon. The covered lounge on Arham Jaya 2 and the chill area on Nusantara Karya both give the team a place away from the karaoke.

Keeping the outing inside budget

Work the sum with the team. Nusantara Karya costs IDR 4,400,000 (≈ USD 270) each at 10 guests, IDR 4,000,000 (≈ USD 245) at 12 and IDR 3,430,000 (≈ USD 210) at 14. Arham Jaya 2 costs IDR 4,150,000 (≈ USD 255), IDR 3,710,000 (≈ USD 228) and IDR 3,180,000 (≈ USD 195).

Count the team before you fix the boat. Nusantara Karya has one price up to 10 guests, at IDR 44,000,000 (≈ USD 2,699), and one for 11 to 14, at IDR 48,000,000 (≈ USD 2,945). A team of 11 pays the higher band, and a team of 9 pays the lower one for no extra seat.

The park ticket costs IDR 50,000 per domestic guest on weekdays, IDR 75,000 on weekends, and IDR 250,000 per international guest, on top of the share.

Hold a number for personal spending too. Gratuities, drinks and flights are outside the boat fare. The charter page has the share for every team size from 2 to 14.
