Komodo private boat cost per person for 14 people

Fourteen is the ceiling on all three boats we book, so it is the cleanest split to start from. Take the whole-boat price for 3 days and 2 nights and divide it by 14. That is the whole method, and it takes a minute. It works on any boat with a whole-boat price: take the total for the route you chose, divide it by the people who have paid, and stop there.

Arham Jaya 2 costs IDR 44,500,000 (≈ USD 2,730) for the whole boat in its band for 11 to 14 guests. Divided by 14, that is IDR 3,180,000 (≈ USD 195) per person. Nusantara Karya costs IDR 48,000,000 (≈ USD 2,945) in its band for 11 to 14 guests, which makes IDR 3,430,000 (≈ USD 210) per person.

We round each share to the nearest ten thousand rupiah. The group chat gets a number it can send, and nobody needs a calculator at the dinner table.

Segara Liveaboard also holds 14 guests, but its whole-boat price is on request. We quote it for your dates. Its seat fares are public, and the sharing seat starts at IDR 2,750,000 (≈ USD 169) per person.

Not every group reaches 14. Here is the share per person on a 3 days 2 nights trip as the head count falls.

• Arham Jaya 2: IDR 4,150,000 (≈ USD 255) for 10 guests, IDR 3,710,000 (≈ USD 228) for 12, IDR 3,180,000 (≈ USD 195) for 14.
• Nusantara Karya: IDR 4,400,000 (≈ USD 270) for 10 guests, IDR 4,000,000 (≈ USD 245) for 12, IDR 3,430,000 (≈ USD 210) for 14.
• Segara Liveaboard: on request at every head count.

The share does not fall in a straight line, because both boats price in bands. Arham Jaya 2 moves to a higher whole-boat price at 5, 8 and 11 guests. Nusantara Karya has one price up to 10 guests and another for 11 to 14.

That produces one odd result on Nusantara Karya. Nine friends pay IDR 4,890,000 (≈ USD 300) each, ten pay IDR 4,400,000 (≈ USD 270), and eleven pay IDR 4,360,000 (≈ USD 267), even though the total for eleven is higher. A tenth person, and an eleventh, are worth finding.

The total covers the boat, the crew and the days on board. It stops there. Before anyone transfers a cent, paste the next two lists into the group chat. Two minutes of reading now saves an argument in the harbor parking lot later.

In the price

• Pickup and drop-off at the Labuan Bajo harbor.
• The boat with air-conditioned cabins, breakfast, lunch and dinner, the chef and boat crew.
• Sundeck, snorkeling equipment and life jackets.

Not in the price

• Park tickets: IDR 50,000 per domestic guest on a weekday, IDR 75,000 on a weekend or public holiday, IDR 250,000 per international guest.
• A guide and photo or video documentation, available on request and quoted separately.
• Flights, hotel, tips and personal expenses.
• Ranger and pier charges, paid separately on the day.

Another way to test the split is to ask what 14 friends would pay if each bought a seat on a Monday or Friday departure. The lowest seat on both boats is a Share Cabin, a bunk cabin with its own bathroom.

On Arham Jaya 2 a Share Cabin seat costs IDR 3,350,000 (≈ USD 206). The whole boat at 14 guests is IDR 3,180,000 (≈ USD 195) per person, and at 13 guests it is IDR 3,420,000 (≈ USD 210). Only at the full 14 does the whole of Arham Jaya 2 cost less per head than a Share Cabin seat.

Nusantara Karya is different. Its Share Cabin seat is IDR 3,350,000 (≈ USD 206), against IDR 3,430,000 (≈ USD 210) for the whole boat at 14. The whole boat is never cheaper per head than the bunk seat. A full boat buys privacy and the route and dates your way, not a lower fare.

One more difference: a seat includes the tour guide and documentation, while a private charter does not.

The best saving is a fourteenth guest. On Arham Jaya 2 the whole-boat price is the same for 11, 12, 13 or 14 people, so each extra friend lowers every other share. Ask the quiet cousin before you ask the airline. If you only reach 12, that is still a fair split, and the share at 12 is lower than the share at 10.

A second lever is the route. Two days and one night on Arham Jaya 2 costs IDR 39,000,000 (≈ USD 2,393) for 14, which is IDR 2,790,000 (≈ USD 171) each. On Nusantara Karya it is IDR 2,860,000 (≈ USD 175) each. You see fewer stops, and the captain decides the order of them on the day.

Money moves in two steps. The deposit is 50% of the booking, and the balance is due 30 days before departure. These are the 2026 rates, dated 27 October 2026 and valid through 31 December 2026.
