What 2 days and 1 night covers

Two days, one night is the short version of the Komodo route, and it keeps the best-known stops. Day one starts at Kelor, where a hill path of 15 to 30 minutes ends at a viewpoint over the bay. After lunch on board come Manjarite Beach for a snorkel and Kalong for the bat flight at dusk, watched from the deck.

Day two is Padar first, with a climb of 25 to 45 minutes to the viewpoint over three bays. Pink Beach follows for a snorkel, and Komodo Island closes the route with a ranger-guided trek from the Loh Liang station. Lunch is on board, and then the boat heads back to the Labuan Bajo harbor.

You see fewer stops than on 3D2N. The 2D1N route skips Manta Point, Taka Makassar and the Sebayur swim. Segara Liveaboard has no 2D1N route on this site, so this page covers Arham Jaya 2 and Nusantara Karya.

The 2D1N whole boat, by group size

The whole boat is priced by head count. Arham Jaya 2 has four bands. It is IDR 32,000,000 (≈ USD 1,963) for 1 to 4 guests and IDR 35,000,000 (≈ USD 2,147) for 5 to 7. Then IDR 37,500,000 (≈ USD 2,301) covers 8 to 10 guests and IDR 39,000,000 (≈ USD 2,393) covers 11 to 14. Nusantara Karya has two: IDR 38,000,000 (≈ USD 2,331) up to 10 guests and IDR 40,000,000 (≈ USD 2,454) for 11 to 14.

Now the split. At 12 guests, Arham Jaya 2 comes to IDR 3,250,000 (≈ USD 199) each and Nusantara Karya to IDR 3,330,000 (≈ USD 204) each. At 14 guests the shares drop to IDR 2,790,000 (≈ USD 171) and IDR 2,860,000 (≈ USD 175).

Park tickets come on top, so keep that line separate in your spreadsheet. The charter page has the share at every group size from 2 to 14.

Who 2 days is enough for

Head count decides the boat, and both boats stop at 14 guests. Arham Jaya 2 has 6 cabins, each with its own bathroom, and its price steps up at 5, 8 and 11 guests. Nusantara Karya has 5 cabins, each with its own bathroom, and one price up to 10 guests.

Two days suits a group with a long weekend and a tight leave balance, or a team where half the people can only take Friday and Saturday. It also suits a first charter: you learn how the group gets along on a boat before you plan a longer one.

The trade-off is plain. You get one night aboard, one Padar climb and one Komodo trek, and you give up the southern snorkeling of day two on the longer route. If the group wants Manta Point, choose 3D2N.

When the third day is worth the extra

Compare the shares side by side. On Arham Jaya 2 at 12 guests, 2D1N is IDR 3,250,000 (≈ USD 199) each and 3D2N is IDR 3,710,000 (≈ USD 228) each. On Nusantara Karya at 12 guests, 2D1N is IDR 3,330,000 (≈ USD 204) and 3D2N is IDR 4,000,000 (≈ USD 245).

The step is bigger on Nusantara Karya than on Arham Jaya 2. For that money the third day adds Taka Makassar, Manta Point and a last swim at Sebayur, plus a second night aboard.

If your group cares about Manta Point, or if a few people are nervous about packing Padar and Komodo into a single day, take the third day. If budget is the constraint, 2D1N is a fair trip and not a lesser one.

These figures leave out park tickets, the guide and documentation.

Boarding hour, check-out hour, flight home

Pickup and drop-off times are agreed on WhatsApp when you pay the deposit. Day two is a full day on the water, with Padar, Pink Beach and Komodo before the boat turns for home.

So the drop-off time decides your flight. Book one that leaves after it, or fly the next morning. A lunchtime flight on day two does not work on this route.

An honest saving tip: fly into Labuan Bajo the day before. A morning arrival that runs late eats the first stop, and Kelor is the stop that sets the pace for the group.

The price covers pickup and drop-off, one night aboard with three meals, the crew, snorkeling gear and life jackets. Flights, your hotel, park tickets, ranger fees and a guide or documentation are not in it, and the price page lists both sides in full.

The route is an example. The captain decides the order of stops and the anchorage on the day, and weather changes the plan.

FAQ

Is 2 days 1 night enough for Komodo?

Yes for the main stops. You get Kelor, Manjarite, Kalong, Padar, Pink Beach and Komodo Island. You miss Manta Point, Taka Makassar and the Sebayur swim, which sit on the 3D2N route. A group short on leave takes 2D1N, a group that wants the snorkeling takes three days.

Do you see Padar on 2D1N?

Yes, Padar opens day two. Guests leave the boat before sunrise with a head torch, and the climb to the viewpoint takes 25 to 45 minutes. Sunrise there is 06:18 in July and 05:31 in November, so bring a head torch and shoes with grip.

Can Segara do 2D1N?

Not on this site. Segara Liveaboard has a 3D2N route only, and its whole-boat price is on request. Arham Jaya 2 and Nusantara Karya both run 2D1N. If your group wants Segara, we price the three-day route with you.

How much is 2D1N for 12?

For 12 guests the whole boat is IDR 39,000,000 (≈ USD 2,393) on Arham Jaya 2, or IDR 3,250,000 (≈ USD 199) per person. On Nusantara Karya it is IDR 40,000,000 (≈ USD 2,454), or IDR 3,330,000 (≈ USD 204) per person. Park tickets are extra.

Can we extend to 3 days later?

A longer route is a different booking with a different whole-boat price, so decide before you pay. Tell us and we send the 3D2N price. The boat also has to be free for the extra night, which we check for you.
