2027 public holidays and long weekends for a Komodo group trip

The joint decree of three ministers lists the 2027 national holidays and collective leave days. It was signed on 15 September 2026, so the list is published and we use it as written. The table keeps only the windows that matter for a boat trip.

Two more holidays fall on a Tuesday: Pancasila Day on 1 June and Independence Day on 17 August. They become a long weekend only if your office gives you the Monday.

Every long weekend above is a window that offices and families across Indonesia are looking at too. Three boats with a ceiling of 14 guests each fill one date at a time, and a date is only ours to hold once the 50% deposit is paid.

We do not publish how full a date is, and we do not show a countdown. A date is either on the schedule or it is not. The published departure calendar runs to early January 2027.

Monday starts run Monday to Wednesday and Friday starts run Friday to Sunday. A one-day holiday in the middle of the week, such as a Thursday, matches neither start. For a private charter the boarding day is agreed with the quote.

Count heads before you pick the week. A full boat of 14 lowers every share more than any choice of date. On Nusantara Karya the 11 to 14 band is IDR 48,000,000 (≈ USD 2,945) on the printed card; for a holiday date we confirm the price when you ask.

Start from the days people can actually take off, then match a boat start to them.

• A Monday start runs Monday to Wednesday. It suits a group that has Monday and Tuesday off, such as a holiday on the Monday plus collective leave on the Tuesday.
• A Friday start runs Friday to Sunday. It fits a long weekend where Friday is already a public holiday or a collective leave day, and it needs no leave on the other days.

The Monday and Friday starts make a three-day weekend trip fit a Friday-to-Sunday window. That matters for groups of 14 because it takes one office day, or none, off 14 calendars at once.

Fly in the day before, whichever start you choose. A late flight on the morning of boarding costs the first stop, and it costs it for all 14 of you. Hotels near the harbor are listed on the hotels page, and pickup in Labuan Bajo is free.

For a private charter you can also choose a 2 days 1 night or 4 days 3 nights route on Arham Jaya 2 and Nusantara Karya. Segara runs the 3 days 2 nights route.

The decree sets national holidays for everyone and collective leave mainly for civil servants. For staff of private companies, the collective leave days follow the employer's own policy. Confirm with your office before you collect a single deposit.

School calendars are set by each school and province, and we publish none here. If your group includes students or teachers, ask for the exact term dates first.

A short checklist keeps a 14-person date from falling apart:

• Ask each person whether the collective leave day counts as leave at their workplace.
• Check that nobody has an exam or a shift on the Monday or the Friday.
• Agree a backup week before you pay the deposit, because a date change inside the notice window costs IDR 500,000.

An office outing is a budget group trip in our books, not an event. The same boats, the same ceiling of 14 and the same price table apply.

The decree lists Isra Mi'raj twice in 2027, on 5 January and on 26 December, because the Islamic calendar is shorter than the solar year. If a date is amended, the decree wins over this page.
