A private charter in Komodo gets your group the whole phinisi, up to 14 guests, and you split one bill by head count. Ten guests on 3 days 2 nights pay IDR 41,500,000 (≈ USD 2,546) for Arham Jaya 2 or IDR 44,000,000 (≈ USD 2,699) for Nusantara Karya. Park tickets come on top.
What a whole phinisi costs for 10 to 14 people
You pay for the boat, not the bed. Arham Jaya 2 prices 3 days and 2 nights in four bands: 1 to 4 guests, 5 to 7, 8 to 10 and 11 to 14. Nusantara Karya keeps it to two, 1 to 10 and 11 to 14. Segara Liveaboard's whole-boat price is on request, so its row below says exactly that.
Mind the band. It sets the total, not your exact head count. Nine people on Nusantara Karya pay what ten pay, and the eleventh guest tips the group into the next band. On Arham Jaya 2 the price steps up at 5, 8 and 11.
Rates were checked on 27 October 2026 and hold through 2026. Book 2027 now at the 2026 price list; if the 2027 rate changes before your balance is due, you are told first and can cancel free.

Think of the extra night as a per-person line. On Nusantara Karya the jump from 2 days to 3 is the big one, and the step from 3 to 4 is small. Arham Jaya 2 climbs more evenly. If your group can spare a fourth day, the share per head makes the case on its own.
Split it by people: the per-person line
This is the sum your group chat is really doing: the whole-boat total for your band, divided by the people who pay. Twelve friends on Arham Jaya 2 for 3 days 2 nights come to IDR 3,710,000 (≈ USD 228) each. The park ticket stays on its own line, because the park charges per person, not per boat.
The table below gives the share for every group size from 2 to 14, on every route, for both priced boats. It is the one place on this site where that full table lives. Segara Liveaboard has no row, because its whole-boat price is on request.
Park tickets come on top: IDR 50,000 for a domestic guest on a weekday, IDR 75,000 at the weekend and IDR 250,000 for an international guest.
Saving tip. A group of 8 or 9 pays the same whole-boat total as a group of 10 on both boats. Two more friends lower every share and leave the bill where it was.

Is a cheap private charter in Komodo real? The honest sum
Yes, once the boat is full. A whole phinisi is a fixed total, so every empty bed lifts everyone else's share. At 14 guests Arham Jaya 2 comes to IDR 3,180,000 (≈ USD 195) a head. A Share Cabin seat on the same boat costs IDR 3,350,000 (≈ USD 206). Only at the full 14 does the whole boat beat that seat.
Drop to 13 and the share is IDR 3,420,000 (≈ USD 210), already above the seat. At 12 it is IDR 3,710,000 (≈ USD 228).
Nusantara Karya never gets under its bunk seat. A full boat works out at IDR 3,430,000 (≈ USD 210) each, and a Share Cabin seat is IDR 3,350,000 (≈ USD 206). On that boat a charter buys the route your way and no strangers aboard. It does not buy a lower fare.
One difference sits outside the sum. A seat on the Monday and Friday open trip includes a tour guide and photo and video documentation on all three boats, and a charter does not. Park tickets are extra either way.
Breakdown or port order: your two options
The charter price covers the boat, its crew, three meals a day, snorkeling gear and free pickup in Labuan Bajo. Park tickets, flights, your hotel and a guide or documentation sit outside it, and the price page lists both sides in full.
Boats break down, and ports and the park sometimes close. If that stops your boat, we put you on a phinisi of equal or higher standard on the same date, at no extra cost. Or you take a full refund within 14 days. You decide, and neither option costs a fee.
Your sum survives either way. The replacement boat carries the same band and the same share per person, so a group of 12 still divides one total by 12.
Weather counts the same. If the harbor authority closes the park routes on your dates, the same two options apply. Pickup time is agreed on WhatsApp with the deposit.
Choose among three boats at 14 guests
All three boats stop at 14 guests. Arham Jaya 2 has 6 cabins, every one with its own bathroom. Nusantara Karya has 5, each with a bathroom too. Segara Liveaboard has 6 rooms, and its Standard Cabin Room shares a bathroom.
On price, a full Arham Jaya 2 is the lowest share of the two priced boats. Segara's whole-boat price is on request, though its seats are priced and start at IDR 2,750,000 (≈ USD 169).
Pick Arham Jaya 2 if every couple wants its own bathroom and you are 12 to 14. Pick Nusantara Karya for one flat price up to 10 guests. Ask about Segara when someone in the group will take the Standard room, with its shared bathroom, for a lower seat fare.

FAQ
What is the minimum group for a private charter?
There is no minimum head count, because the price is for the whole boat. The smallest band is 1 to 4 guests on Arham Jaya 2, at IDR 36,500,000 (≈ USD 2,239) for 3 days 2 nights. For two or three people a seat from IDR 2,750,000 (≈ USD 169) per person costs far less than that band.
Does the price change if we are 9 instead of 10?
No. On Nusantara Karya the band runs from 1 to 10 guests, and on Arham Jaya 2 the band runs from 8 to 10. Your total stays the same at 9 and at 10, so the second extra friend lowers every share. At 7 guests Arham Jaya 2 drops to its 5 to 7 band.
What if the boat cannot sail on our dates?
If a breakdown or a port or park order stops the boat, you move to a phinisi of equal or higher standard on the same date at no extra cost. Or you take a full refund within 14 days. You choose, and you pay no fee for either.
Can we pay in installments?
The booking has two payments: a 50% deposit to hold the date and the balance 30 days before departure. How your group collects its shares is up to you. We take payment from one booking name and do not collect from individuals.
